To give my iPhone a shot at a long life, I limited charges to 80%, which felt like a gamble on my daily use.

A year in and I had completed about 355 recharge cycles, with the battery still at 91% capacity. However, as time went by, I felt the pinch of reduced battery life. Fast forward to September: my iPhone was 17 months old and had endured 501 charge cycles. The maximum capacity had dropped to 89%, and battery life was a struggle. By afternoon, I often dipped below 20%. Even raising the charge limit to 100% didn’t help much.

Whether it was just my battery or if it’s a widespread issue, one thing is clear: we need effective ways to keep our devices powered while managing battery health.
