This extension also means Sport 24 will broadcast original programming tied to the Australian Open throughout the year. Since 2012, Sport 24 has provided international travelers with updates and live matches from the tournament.

Cedric Cornelis, Chief Commercial Officer of Tennis Australia, expressed excitement about the ongoing partnership. He noted that this agreement helps make the Australian Open accessible to fans, whether they are flying high in an airplane or cruising on the ocean.

Richard Wise, Senior Vice President at IMG, echoed this sentiment. He highlighted how Sport 24 has delivered live Australian Open coverage for over a decade. With the finals coming up, viewers can expect all the thrilling moments streamed right to their screens, no matter their location.

Sport 24 stands out as the only live sports channel available on numerous airlines and cruise ships worldwide. It reaches around 612 aircraft and 127 cruise ships, including major carriers like Emirates, Singapore Airlines, and Royal Caribbean.

The channel operates from IMG’s production headquarters near London’s Heathrow Airport and also broadcasts other exciting sports events, such as the Premier League, FIA Formula One, NBA games, golf majors, and more.
