Important Parade Day Alert: Avoid Sports Complex Parking!

Early Friday morning, the streets are calm as fans make their way to Center City for the Super Bowl victory parade. However, many roads are blocked off in advance of the celebrations.

The city has provided a list of street closures and parking restrictions. Officials are warning drivers to expect difficult travel conditions. Parking will be hard to find.

Road closures began on Tuesday and will continue through Saturday. A significant number of streets along the parade route closed at 5 a.m. Friday. Broad Street won’t close until around 7 a.m., though times may change as needed.

Drivers are reminded to follow all “Temporary No Parking” signs. Cars parked in these areas during the specified times will be towed. On the parade day, parking meters won’t be enforced, but safety violations—like blocking fire hydrants or crosswalks—will still be enforced.

During the event, several bike lanes along Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Broad Street will be off-limits. Cyclists should proceed with caution in the area. Additionally, there will be no access to the Schuylkill River Trail from the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and westbound travel on the Schuylkill will end at Paine Skate Park.

The parade kicks off at 11 a.m. at Broad and Pattison streets. It will head north, passing City Hall, before turning onto Benjamin Franklin Parkway and ending at the Art Museum. The ceremony is expected to wrap up by 3:15 p.m.
