EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — Ajinomoto Foods North America has issued a recall for about 3.37 million pounds of frozen chicken fried rice. This recall is due to possible contamination with foreign materials, potentially including glass.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) reported that consumers should avoid eating the recalled products. Instead, they should throw them away or return them to the store where they were bought.
The recalled items were made between September 8, 2025, and November 17, 2025. Here’s a quick list of what’s affected:
- 1.53 kg packages of “AJINOMOTO YAKITORI CHICKEN WITH JAPANESE-STYLE FRIED RICE” (Best Before dates: 26 SE 09 through 26 NO 12).
- 20-oz. packages of “TRADER JOE’S Chicken Fried Rice” (Best By dates: 9/8/2026 through 11/17/2026).
Trader Joe’s products went to stores across the country, while Ajinomoto Foods items were exported only to Canada.
