The Indian Army has completed a significant milestone with the arrival of the last three Boeing AH-64E Apache attack helicopters. This delivery wraps up an order for six helicopters, now set to join the 451 Army Aviation Squadron in Jodhpur.
These helicopters landed at Hindon air base near Delhi, transported by an Antonov An-124 heavy-lift aircraft. After assembly and inspection, they will soon become operational.
The first three Apaches were delivered back in July, and the arrival of the final batch fulfills a timeline that had faced several delays. Originally, deliveries were expected to start in 2023, but that was pushed back to early 2024. The Army’s plan has now come to fruition, marking the completion of a long-awaited process.
