This is Cignetti’s second contract extension in less than two years. He joined Indiana in 2024 with a six-year deal. His impactful leadership has turned the Hoosiers from a struggling team into a legitimate contender. Last season, they achieved an 11-2 record and earned a spot in the College Football Playoff.
This year, the Hoosiers are off to a strong start with a 6-0 record, tied for the Big Ten lead with Ohio State, the reigning national champions. Cignetti’s coaching history includes success at IUP, Elon, and James Madison, proving he has the skills to steer a top-tier program.
