Two standout golfers from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), Alex Swinnerton and Guillermo Salazar, have made their mark on the PSAC All-Conference team for the 2024-25 season.
Alex Swinnerton shined on the first team, achieving an average of 72.72 strokes over 11 tournaments. He secured five top-five finishes, claiming victory at the West Liberty Tournament with a score of two under par. His best round was an impressive 67 at the Ralph Hargett Memorial, where he had seven rounds below 70 strokes. This is Swinnerton’s third time earning All-PSAC recognition.
Guillermo Salazar earned a spot on the second team, averaging 74.86 strokes in the same number of tournaments. He also had five top-ten finishes, with a best score of 70. Salazar finished second at the Howard Elwell Invitational and recorded seven rounds at even par or better. This marks his third All-Conference honor as well.
Both players reflect the growing competitiveness in collegiate golf. According to a recent NCAA report, participation in college golf is on the rise, encouraging young talents to pursue the sport.
