Indulge Your Taste Buds: Join Jonas Korff for a Culinary Journey Through Greenwich

Meet Jonas Korff, a bright member of Greenwich High School’s class of 2026. Recently, he embarked on a culinary adventure as a food critic, exploring menus in Greenwich, Stamford, and even New York City. His passion for food took him all the way to Greece, where he traveled with the school’s AP European History program.

Jonas started his food journey in January 2025 with his first review at Elm Street Diner. In just over a year, he amassed about 2,500 followers on Instagram, half of whom joined recently. His engaging videos and captivating reviews became a hit, and he even found work at Joey B’s, where he creates content for their Instagram.

His inspiration? A friend’s social media posts featuring food photos. “I thought, that’s really cool. I want to do that too,” Jonas recalls. His first review, done with friends, showcased the diner’s “hot honey” chicken. Although he felt a bit shy at first, the positive reactions motivated him to keep going. “Everyone thought it was cool, which inspired me to continue,” he said.

Alongside being a food critic, Jonas runs a boat detailing business, making him quite the young entrepreneur. He plans to take his food reviews to Southern Methodist University in Texas this fall, where he hopes to continue sharing his culinary experiences.

His fondness for Joey B’s goes way back. “These are my favorite burgers in town,” he said, praising their crispy fried onions and delicious cheeseburgers. Dom Delfino, the owner of Joey B’s, fondly remembers Jonas’s family visiting the restaurant when Jonas was just a kid.

Jonas’s Instagram isn’t just about local spots; he also reviews meals from Greenwich High School’s Cardinal Café. “I was already buying lunch anyway,” he noted, sharing how his reviews of school food have become a favorite among his peers.

Feedback from his audience is always positive. A middle schooler even told him, “I love your videos! I like how local they are.” Social media trends hint at a rising interest in local food spots, especially among younger audiences who crave authenticity from influencers.

When reviewing food, Jonas remains honest. “If I don’t like it, I say so, but I’m never mean,” he explains. He believes kindness and respect go a long way, both in food criticism and in life. Jonas takes care to prepare his reviews and is constantly refining his approach to make his videos engaging.

So far, he has filmed around 200 reviews, even going back to refine some of his earlier posts. “Consistency is key,” he says. Each review is crafted with effort; he tries to post once a day. Delfino emphasizes the importance of quality, with Joey B’s winning “best chili in Connecticut” from IHeart Radio.

“Working for Dom has made me a better food critic,” Jonas shares. He values the professionalism he’s building. As he gets ready to dive into his special double cheeseburger, he cheers, “Down the hatch!”
