Company broadens its range of gas conversion technologies and unique catalysts

SACRAMENTO, Calif., Jan. 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Infinium, known for creating the first ultra-low carbon eFuels, has successfully acquired Greyrock Technology. This milestone coincides with the first round of a Series C Preferred Stock fundraising, led by Brookfield Asset Management.
New investors, including Brookfield, Japan Hydrogen Fund, and Mitsubishi Corporation, join existing backers like Amazon and NextEra Energy Resources. This funding will boost Infinium’s project pipeline and enhance its energy solutions. BofA Securities acted as the placement agent for this fundraising effort.
Infinium has become the first provider to produce significant amounts of ultra-low carbon eFuels from its North American site, known as Project Pathfinder. These eFuels are currently in use across the U.S. and Europe.
eFuels serve as synthetic alternatives to traditional fuels, lessening lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by over 90% compared to fossil fuels. Major companies like Amazon and American Airlines are already utilizing these products.
“With Infinium eFuels, our customers can maintain their existing equipment—like planes and trucks—while significantly cutting emissions,” said Robert Schuetzle, CEO of Infinium. “The support from our investors shows the rising need for flexible, sustainable energy solutions.”
The addition of Greyrock Technology brings Infinium’s portfolio to over 250 patents, including advanced catalysts for Power-to-Liquids (PtL) and gas conversion that address various applications.
