At CES this year, Asus introduced an interesting twist with the Aidol 14 Air Fragrance Edition. This laptop features a unique lid that holds a magnetically-attached oil diffuser. When the laptop heats up, it releases the scent of essential oils, creating a soothing atmosphere. To complement this, Asus is soon launching a “Fragrance Mouse,” expected to hit the US market around late April to early May, according to spokesperson Anthony Spence in an email to The Verge.
The Fragrance Mouse keeps things simple with two buttons and a scroll wheel. But its secret is a small compartment on the bottom where you can insert a refillable vial of your favorite essential oils. This mouse connects wirelessly via Bluetooth or a 2.4GHz USB dongle, features adjustable DPI settings (1200dpi, 1600dpi, and 2400dpi), and runs on a single AA battery. It comes in unique colors like Iridescent White and Rose Clay.
However, you might not be able to buy both the fragrant laptop and mouse together. The Aidol 14 Air Fragrance Edition is currently available only in China since its launch in July 2024, as noted by Videocardz. As of now, Spence did not provide any pricing details for the Fragrance Mouse in his email to The Verge.
