Introducing the PGP Class of 2025: Spotlight on Ritika Agrawal from Indian School of Business

“I strive to create meaningful solutions with dedication and purpose by combining engineering and consulting skills.”

Hometown: Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh

Fun Fact: I love music! I learned to play the Ukulele during COVID, and it’s my happy place.

Undergraduate Major: Chemical Engineering from IIT Bombay

Current Job: Business Analyst at Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) Banking Group Ltd

Why ISB? I chose the Indian School of Business (ISB) to learn from its exceptional faculty. With my engineering background and no business experience, I wanted a program that offered top-notch education in just one year. ISB’s reputation and strong academic connections reassured me I would gain the business skills needed for success.

Favorite Experience: The orientation week at ISB was both fun and insightful. It prepared us for the challenges ahead and taught us to balance work and enjoyment through parties and team activities. My biggest takeaway was to believe in myself and trust that things will fall into place, no matter how tough they seem at first.

Why Hyderabad for MBA? Mohali is a fantastic place for an MBA, thanks to its strategic location near Chandigarh, a business and IT hub. The ISB Mohali campus is close to major business centers like Delhi and Gurgaon, providing excellent networking opportunities. Mohali also offers a great quality of life, with beautiful parks and modern infrastructure, making it a wonderful place for both personal and professional growth.

Biggest Career Accomplishment: Over the last two-and-a-half years, I built strong relationships with my teams and stakeholders in Melbourne, Australia. Being the only team member from India, I had a unique chance to represent our projects and foster cross-cultural teamwork.

Biggest MBA Accomplishment: In just six months at ISB, I’ve learned so much. A standout moment for me was working on a pro bono project, where I conducted market research and interacted with consumers. This hands-on experience allowed me to apply what I learned in class while making a real impact.

Favorite Hangout Spot: Sukhna Lake in Chandigarh is a favorite spot for ISB students. Its peaceful atmosphere, especially at sunrise and sunset, provides a perfect getaway from the rigorous MBA lifestyle, allowing us to relax and recharge.

Post-Graduation Goals: After graduating from ISB, I aim to pursue a career in business consulting or strategy. I want to use the skills and insights I’ve gained to tackle real-world challenges and create sustainable value for businesses and society.
