Intuitive, a medical tech company from California, has announced a significant commitment of $45 million to its nonprofit branch, the Intuitive Foundation. This funding aims to help reduce disease and suffering around the world through various initiatives in philanthropy, research, and education.

The Intuitive Foundation provides grants for medical research, STEM education, surgical fellowships, and healthcare training programs. Since launching in 2018, it has awarded over $65 million in grants. With the recent contribution, Intuitive’s total support to the foundation exceeds $170 million.

Catherine Mohr, president of the Intuitive Foundation, emphasized the importance of employee involvement in their giving. “Amplifying the voice of Intuitive employees and the causes that are meaningful to them is a key pillar of our philanthropic giving,” she said. In 2024, the foundation provided over $6 million in research grants and surgical fellowships, along with $3 million for the Surgical Education Learners Forum, which focuses on training healthcare providers in low-resource areas.
