In its recent video, Apple highlighted the iPhone 16e, showcasing its revamped internal design that allows for a more powerful battery.

Apple usually keeps the mAh ratings for its iPhones under wraps. However, in a review by Dave Lee from the YouTube channel Dave2D, he revealed that the iPhone 16e packs a battery of 3,961 mAh. This is over a 10% boost compared to the standard iPhone 16’s 3,561 mAh battery.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4,685 mAh
- iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582 mAh
- iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674 mAh
- iPhone 16: 3,561 mAh
- iPhone 16e: 3,961 mAh
Apple claims the iPhone 16e boasts the best battery life among all 6.1-inch iPhones, thanks in part to its efficient C1 modem.
But how does the battery hold up in real life?
In a test where Lee browsed Reddit over Wi-Fi, the iPhone 16e lasted an impressive 12 hours and 54 minutes. In contrast, the regular iPhone 16 only managed 11 hours and 17 minutes, making the 16e a standout performer.
The test involved a simulation of regular web browsing until the battery was drained.
According to CNET’s Patrick Holland, who also evaluated the battery life:
After using the 16e for six days, I only charged it three times. A 30-watt charger brought it to 59% in just 30 minutes. Even with heavy use, including camera tests and gaming, it easily lasts a full day on a single charge, and usually stretches to a day and a half before needing to recharge.
In video streaming, I found that the iPhone 16e held its charge remarkably well. After an hour of streaming, it stayed at 100% battery, unlike the iPhone 16 and iPhone 15, which dropped to 97%.
