Iran’s national soccer team is placed in Group G and is set to play in Los Angeles against New Zealand and Belgium on June 15 and June 21, respectively, with a match against Egypt scheduled for June 26 in Seattle. The tournament will be held in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.
A recent survey from YouGov revealed that 67% of Iranians support their team’s participation in international competitions, seeing it as a chance to showcase their culture and spirit despite political tensions. However, many fans worry about safety and the impact of ongoing conflicts on sports events.
