Is the iPhone 19e Coming with a Stunning ProMotion Display? Here’s What We Know!

The iPhone 17e just hit the market, but already, whispers about the iPhone 19e are making waves. Rumors suggest that this upcoming model, set for a 2028 release, could feature a ProMotion display. This means a variable refresh rate, which would be a first for the budget “e” series that has only offered 60Hz so far.

A recent report from ZDNet Korea reveals that Apple is working on a new display technology called LTPO+. This innovative tech uses oxide materials for improved power efficiency and quicker response times.

This advanced display might debut in the iPhone 18 Pro series and possibly in the next-gen iPhone Air and foldable iPhone. If things go well, we could see this LTPO technology making its way to the iPhone 19e eventually.

However, there’s still a lot we don’t know. Whether the 19e will actually feature this tech remains uncertain. Furthermore, not all ProMotion displays are equal; for instance, the iPhone 13 Pro series boasted a range from 10Hz to 120Hz, while the iPhone 14 Pro cut this down to as low as 1Hz. This means that the kind of ProMotion display the 19e gets could differ greatly from its predecessors.

As we wait for more concrete information, it’s clear that Apple is pushing boundaries with its technology. The shift to a ProMotion display in a more affordable model could open up new possibilities for users who seek top-notch performance without breaking the bank.
