The FDA has warned the public to avoid certain frozen shrimp sold at Walmart. This alert comes after concerns that some products may be contaminated with radioactive material, specifically Cesium-137 (Cs-137).
The contamination was discovered in shrimp processed by PT. Bahari Makmur Sejati, an Indonesian company. These shrimp are sold under Walmart’s Great Value brand. So far, the affected products are in 13 states, including Texas, Florida, and Ohio.
