Baboury brings a wealth of experience to PatBo. She has worked with high-profile brands like Burberry and Christian Louboutin, as well as holding a vice president position at Saks Fifth Avenue. Her diverse background in luxury retail is expected to benefit PatBo as it navigates its next chapter.

Patricia Bonaldi, the founder of PatBo, expressed her excitement about Baboury’s appointment. “Her background in the luxury market is an asset, but her fresh approach will be invaluable as we expand globally,” said Bonaldi. Baboury echoed this sentiment, highlighting her belief in the brand’s core values of bold femininity and craftsmanship. She aims to deepen connections with North American audiences while respecting the brand’s rich Brazilian heritage.

Since its establishment in 2005, PatBo has rapidly gained popularity, especially in evening and resort wear, particularly in the American market, which it entered in 2017. Celebrities like Beyoncé and Alicia Keys have sported PatBo designs, and the brand is now available in over 150 stores worldwide, including renowned names like Net-a-porter and Neiman Marcus.

Interestingly, Bonaldi is not just focused on immediate sales. During a recent trip to New York, she expressed her desire to find investors who can support the brand without compromising its essence. She mentioned her ambition to open 10 to 12 stores across the U.S. in the next five years. While her company is currently profitable with stores in both Brazil and the U.S., she dreams of becoming a lifestyle brand that offers a complete wardrobe solution for women, from resortwear to evening wear.

Moreover, Bonaldi is committed to giving back to her community. She has established a school in her hometown of Uberlandia, Brazil, to teach local women craftsmanship skills, helping empower them to work in the fashion industry. This initiative not only provides jobs but also supports the brand’s dedication to handmade quality.

Bonaldi began creating clothes out of necessity, which cultivated her passion for fashion. After initially studying law, she followed her heart and created her first eveningwear collection. Her journey reflects an inspiring evolution from personal need to professional success.

Despite the U.S. and Brazil having opposite fashion seasons, Bonaldi finds success by maintaining a unified collection approach. She keeps about 80% of her designs consistent, which streamlines production and meets diverse consumer needs.

Retail prices for PatBo’s collections range from $350 to $3,000, with an average retail price of around $700. This pricing strategy attracts a broad audience while still offering luxurious options.

Bonaldi is proud of the growth PatBo has achieved so far, emphasizing that it has been an organic journey—developing step by step without outside investors. Now, with Baboury’s leadership, she believes the brand is poised to reach new heights.
