IUP Field Hockey Shines with Back-to-Back Shutouts Against D’Youville: A Strong Season Continues!

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The IUP Field Hockey team hit the road for their first match away from home, facing D’Youville. They dominated the game, achieving a 41-0 advantage in shots, with 28 hitting the target and securing their second shutout in a row.

Senior Jess Davidson shone bright, netting three goals, including the first two of the match and an impressive tip-in for the eighth and final goal. This marked her first hat trick, bringing her total to four goals this season. Five other teammates also contributed to the score.

In goal, junior Celeste Pagliaroli maintained her perfect record without facing a single shot.

Looking ahead, IUP will travel back to New York for a match against Roberts Wesleyan. The game is set for noon on Sunday in Rochester. If they win, they’ll start the season 3-0 for the first time since 2022.
