Paddy McLaughlin has been active during his first transfer window as Glenavon’s manager. The team has made some key moves to strengthen its squad.
Goalkeeper Tadhg Ryan has joined from Derry City, adding competition for spots in the goal. Midfielder Aaron Heaney is also coming on loan from Derry City. Harry Murphy has moved on loan from Glentoran, while Sean Carlin has signed from Institute.
Additionally, Glenavon has recalled striker Aaron Prendergast from Dundela for the second half of the season. However, the team has seen some departures as well. Keith Ward signed with Dundalk, and James Carroll has moved to Loughgall. Jamie Doran and winger James Soona have also been loaned to Newry City and Armagh City, respectively.
After a rocky start to the season, Glenavon has improved under McLaughlin’s guidance. They are now just five points from the top six, showing promise for a strong finish this season.
