Host Josh Horowitz reminded her that Tarantino has long admired her. But Lawrence seemed unsure, saying, “I don’t know about that.” Horowitz insisted that the part of Daisy in “The Hateful Eight” was written for her, but she turned it down at the time due to her busy schedule.
During their chat, Lawrence said she was told she wasn’t pretty enough to portray Tate, adding with a chuckle, “I should not have turned that down.” The crowd reacted with sympathy, highlighting how deeply personal these rejection stories can be for actors.
Interestingly, Margot Robbie ultimately landed the role of Sharon Tate.
