Jim Furyk has been named the U.S. Ryder Cup captain for the 2027 matches in Ireland. In 2018, Furyk led the U.S. team in Paris, where the Americans faced a tough defeat, with Europe winning 17.5 to 10.5. That year, some controversies arose, including disagreements between players. Despite this setback, Furyk later achieved success as a captain in the 2024 Presidents Cup.

Recently, the European team has demonstrated a remarkable track record, winning 11 of the last 15 Ryder Cups since 1995. This trend highlights the uphill battle the U.S. team faces in reclaiming the cup. The last time they secured a win on European soil was back in 1993.

Experts believe that team dynamics and player chemistry play a crucial role in the Ryder Cup’s outcome.
