Join Arkansas State University This Giving Tuesday: Make a Difference on December 2!

On December 2, Arkansas State University (A-State) will celebrate Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to supporting students and key university initiatives. The main focus this year is the Student Emergency Fund, which provides immediate help for students facing unexpected financial challenges.

The Student Emergency Fund plays a crucial role in helping students stay enrolled and reach their goals. When unexpected expenses arise, this fund can make all the difference. The A-State Student Philanthropy Council leads the effort, emphasizing that every dollar donated goes directly to students in need.

Donors who contribute $25 or more will receive a “Back the Pack” T-shirt, and all donors will get a ticket to the A-State vs. UT Arlington men’s basketball game on the same evening at First National Bank Arena. This creates a sense of unity and celebration within the A-State community.

Throughout the day, students and council members will share impactful stories and encourage their peers to get involved. This outreach fosters a supportive environment, highlighting the strength of the Red Wolves family.

Giving Tuesday has grown in importance over the years. It serves as a reminder of how collective efforts can create significant change. In 2022 alone, the day raised over $2.5 billion in donations across the United States, demonstrating the power of community support.

Overall, the event is more than just fundraising; it’s about building a culture of generosity at A-State. By focusing on immediate student needs, A-State is not merely reacting to hardship but actively promoting resilience and success in the student body.
