Clarion Ford is excited to support the fight against hunger with a food drive from September 15 to 25. They are teaming up with Ford Dealers around the world to make a difference.
The community is invited to help “Fill a Ford” with non-perishable food items. All donations will stay local, directly benefiting families in the Clarion area.
At the Peanut Butter Festival on September 20, Clarion Ford will have a truck ready for donations. It’s a great chance for festival-goers to contribute. You can also drop off food items at the dealership throughout the drive.
Thanks to The J.M. Smucker Company for kickstarting the drive with over 1,100 pounds of peanut butter! This generous donation shows the strength of community support.
“This initiative is about supporting our neighbors,” said Dave Eggleton, General Manager of Clarion Ford. “While we’re part of a global effort, it’s vital that what we collect helps our local families directly.”
Donations can include canned goods, pasta, rice, peanut butter, and other shelf-stable items. All food collected will go to local food banks and pantries, ensuring that it reaches those in need quickly.
Food insecurity is a significant issue. According to a report from the U.S. Department of Agriculture, about 10.5% of U.S. households faced food insecurity in 2021. Local efforts, like this food drive, are crucial in addressing hunger effectively.
