The Correctional Training Facility (CTF) in Soledad recently celebrated Food Service Week from February 4 to 7. This event recognized the hard work of the food service staff and incarcerated workers.
During the week, they enjoyed a variety of special meals. It all began with a nacho and baked potato bar, followed by a sweet treat day featuring donuts and cupcakes. One standout moment was when Correctional Food Manager II, Gregory Gash, teamed up to grill smash burgers for everyone.
Gash and the warden shared heartfelt thank-you notes, expressing their gratitude for the team’s dedication. “This week is just a small way for us to show our appreciation for the tremendous effort our food service team puts in every day,” wrote Gash. “Your hard work does not go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated by everyone here at CTF.”
Two outstanding incarcerated workers were honored with “Worker of the Month” certificates. Additionally, the Prison Industry Authority (PIA) created banners that decorated the facility, further highlighting the team’s contributions.
Celebrating the achievements and dedication of the food service team fostered a sense of community and appreciation within the facility. Moments like these not only uplift the spirits of the workers but also improve the overall atmosphere at CTF.
