New Program at Boston’s Museum of Science Features Anthony Fauci
The Museum of Science in Boston has exciting news! They are launching a yearlong program featuring former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases director, Anthony Fauci. This program was announced on Friday.
Every year, the museum focuses on a crucial topic to help people understand the world better. This year’s theme is “Being Human.” The goal is to explore what connects us and how we can enhance our lives.
The Center for Life Sciences is leading this initiative. It will include added exhibits, a digital series, and partnerships with the community. Center director Insoo Hyun said, “Being Human invites us to examine our commonalities, especially during uncertain times. Understanding our shared physical and mental traits can help everyone live healthier and more fulfilling lives.”
Fauci will be part of the museum’s digital series called The Big Question, where he will discuss scientific discoveries. He is also an alum of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester.
In addition to Fauci, the program will feature other notable figures. These include Arianna Huffington, founder of The Huffington Post; artist Beatie Wolfe; and representatives from Perkins School for the Blind and the Boston Pops.
This year, the Hall of Human Life will host various educational activities for young visitors. There will be fun, hands-on activities and demonstrations featuring a humanoid robot, showcasing how machines can mimic human movement.
The program will also touch on topics like women’s health, the role of AI in medicine, aging populations, body systems, and genetics. New initiatives under the “Being Human” theme will be announced each month throughout 2025. There’s much to look forward to!
