Lehigh Christian Academy’s Student Council is making a big difference in the community with its annual food drive. This initiative reaches beyond just the school, touching many lives in the area.
As more families face food insecurity, the Cedar Crest Food Bank supports over 2,000 families each year. The food drive at LCA helps ensure that these families receive the essential food and care they need. This partnership has been going strong for over five years, providing vital support to families in Lehigh County.
The experiences students gain go beyond just collecting food. They learn about responsibility, compassion, and leadership aligning with the school’s core values. Lauren Crain, the teacher who guides the Student Council, highlights how students plan, communicate, and work together. “They learn to serve others with compassion and humility,” she says.
