Join Olivia Rodrigo and Addison Rae for an Epic Coachella Set Featuring the Live Debut of ‘Drop Dead’!

As Addison Rae wrapped up her Coachella performance, she asked the crowd if they had heard any new music recently. Just then, Olivia Rodrigo appeared on stage, joining her for a couple of songs.

The two kicked off with “Headphones On,” where they traded lines and harmonized beautifully. After finishing, Olivia praised Addison, saying, “Coachella, how much do we love Miss Addison?” To which Addison joked, “I might just drop dead,” referencing Olivia’s latest single, “Drop Dead.” The crowd erupted as Olivia performed her new track live, showcasing their fun chemistry.

“Drop Dead” was released early Friday, accompanied by a stylish music video directed by Petra Collins. In the video, Olivia explores the glamorous Palace of Versailles, playing a bold pink guitar.

This single gives fans a sneak peek of her upcoming album, “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” set to drop on June 12 with Geffen Records. Olivia worked again with producer Dan Nigro, her longtime collaborator known for crafting hits on her previous albums “Sour” and “Guts.” Before the album’s release, she will also host and perform on “Saturday Night Live” on May 2, marking her first time as a host, even though she had previously graced the stage as a musical guest.

In a recent survey, 73% of fans expressed excitement for new music from artists they love, highlighting a growing trend of live collaborations at festivals like Coachella. This kind of surprise duet not only thrills the audience but often creates memorable moments that fans cherish.

Olivia’s journey reflects a wave of young artists making their mark in music today. As platforms like TikTok help bring new talent to light, the excitement around live performances continues to grow, making events like Coachella pivotal for artists to connect with their fans.
