The Princeton Women’s Basketball Team had an impressive win against Georgia Tech, beating them 67-61 at McCamish Pavilion. Fadima Tall led the effort, scoring 11 points and grabbing five rebounds in that final stretch. Tall finished the game with 16 points and a career-high 14 rebounds—her fourth career double-double. She was also recognized as one of the Ann Meyers Drysdale USBWA National Players of the Week for her outstanding performance.
Olivia Hutcherson also shined, hitting a career-high 15 points, along with six rebounds and four steals. She was one of four players in double figures for Princeton, alongside Tall, Ashley Chea, and Madison St. Rose. This strong showing comes as Princeton was named the top team in the Ivy League Preseason Poll, receiving 17 of 21 first-place votes.
The Tigers return four starters from last year’s NCAA Tournament team. Ashley Chea, a First-Team All-Ivy player, had a solid season last year with an average of 12.6 points per game. Skye Belker and Fadima Tall also earned All-Ivy honors, continuing to build their skills each year. Olivia Hutcherson and Madison St. Rose are key players too, with St. Rose making a strong comeback after missing last season due to injury.
Princeton also welcomed two new players to the Class of 2029: Sarah Lessig and Grace O’Sullivan. Lessig, from Seattle, was a standout athlete, known as a nominee for Seattle Sports Star of the Year. O’Sullivan, from Massachusetts, achieved significant success at her previous school, scoring over 1,200 points.
The coaching staff led by Carla Berube has remained consistent, guiding the Tigers to impressive records over the years. Under her leadership, Princeton has captured four Ivy League championships and holds an impressive overall record of 122 wins to 25 losses.
In terms of statistics, Princeton ranks highly nationally in several categories: they are 23rd in field goal percentage (46.1%) and 30th in scoring defense (57.2%). Individually, several players are making waves in Ivy League rankings, with Ashley Chea noted for her three-point shooting.
