Houston’s Axiom Space is wrapping up its fourth crewed mission to the International Space Station (ISS) with a dynamic team of astronauts. Whitson, a former NASA astronaut and Axiom’s director of human spaceflight, is leading the crew. She holds the record for the most days spent in space by an American, nearing 700. Pilot Shux is proud of India’s collaboration with various institutions for innovative research. Meanwhile, Kapu from Hungary has been testing a device that monitors radiation exposure. His work includes cultivating fast-growing radishes and peppers aboard the ISS.
One standout experiment involves a brainwave interface that allows control of machines using thought alone. This exciting technology marks the first such demonstration in space.

As they wrap up their mission, the crew has found their footing in weightlessness. Whitson noted, “They’ve gotten their space legs” and are adapting well. Sharing meals is part of the experience, with the crew even enjoying Polish pierogis recently.
