Los Angeles, CA (April 21, 2026) – Get ready for a fresh way to enjoy your city! On May 17, the L.A. Food Run will hit the streets, merging running with the vibrant food scene of Los Angeles. This event is inspired by the popular NYC Bakery Run, which attracted over 17,000 participants. Now, it’s L.A.’s turn to shine!
Participants will run through lively neighborhoods like Highland Park, Echo Park, and Silver Lake, stopping at top food spots along the way. Expect to refuel at places like Quarter Sheets, Courage Bagels, Amboy, and Sqirl. It’s a unique way to savor what L.A. has to offer while staying active.
Simon Evers, founder of TIPSTER, highlighted the growth of these events. “We wanted to explore food through running. Now, we’re hosting them in cities around the world, showcasing old favorites and new trends,” he said.
With only 100 spots available, selected through a lottery, this run is a chance to enjoy the best culinary experiences all in one morning. Drew Hartman from Salomon expressed excitement about this collaboration, noting how the event combines movement with local culture.
Running isn’t just fitness—it’s a gateway to community and exploration. In recent years, interest in combining fitness with food and culture has surged. A survey by the National Runner’s Association found that 70% of runners are now interested in participating in themed runs that include local food highlights.
