At the same event, Archbishop Philip Anyolo of Nairobi spoke passionately about the relevance of Consecrated Life today. He urged religious individuals to show the world its importance, especially when many overlook spiritual matters.
He noted that “Consecrated Life is a life rooted in prayer” and encouraged all, including clergy and community members, to enhance their prayer lives.
Archbishop Anyolo also highlighted a powerful message from the Apostolic Nuncio in Kenya, Archbishop Hubertus van Megen. The Nuncio reminded clergy to stay clear of distractions like money and tribalism that can divert them from their calling.
The Kenyan Church leader urged the consecrated to celebrate the Jubilee of Hope through prayer and community engagement.
The global Jubilee of Consecrated Life is set for October 8-9, 2025, in Rome, promising to be a significant moment for reflection and renewal for all involved.
