What’s New?
Chain-CC Protection
In Season 7.5, we introduced Chain-CC Protection, designed to keep battles smooth. Here’s how it works:
- If a hero is hit by 6 crowd control effects or suffers a total of 5.5 seconds of CC within a 7-second span, it activates.
- This instantly removes CC effects and grants the hero 30% Tenacity for 3 seconds. Tenacity helps reduce incoming CC duration.
- If Tenacity hits 100%, the hero becomes fully immune to CC until the effect ends.
- Some powerful CC effects, like Emma Frost’s Carbon Crush, bypass this system.
- Chain-CC Protection has a 5-second cooldown after it’s used.
Character Adjustments
We’ve made some key adjustments to several heroes:
- Emma Frost: Her Ultimate power cost drops from 3400 to 3100 energy, boosting her effectiveness in battles.
- Deadpool: We’ve cut back on his burst damage and survival boosts from his Ultimate. The damage and health gains from his abilities have been lowered.
- Peni Parker: Her health drops slightly, but she’ll deploy Cyber-Webs over a wider range, making her more versatile in combat.
These changes are about balance. For instance, Elsa Bloodstone’s mobility is toned down to keep her in check, while Human Torch gains new mobility mechanics for more strategic gameplay.
Ultron’s Expansion
Ultron’s Ultimate attack now covers a larger area, making it tougher for opponents to escape. The area of effect has increased from a 3m radius to 6m. This means more chaos and damage on the battlefield!
The changes aim to enhance combat flow and strategy. Players are now challenged to adapt and find new tactics to handle their opponents effectively.
