The Taste of Roselle is back for its 43rd year! Hosted by the Roselle Lions Club, this community block party runs from August 1 to August 3. It’s a family-friendly celebration filled with live music, tasty food, bingo, and crafts.
During the festival, you can explore various food options and local craft beers, all while enjoying free performances on three stages. Plus, there’s a kid-friendly carnival for the little ones. Don’t forget to wander down Main Street for some unique shopping opportunities!
Local artisans will showcase their creations, including jewelry, handmade candles, and cozy blankets. There will also be fun activities like face painting and henna tattoos for kids.
The schedule is packed with entertainment. On Friday, the Main Stage features rock covers from F.L.O.A.T. and hits from the band Devon Delux. The night will end with the ultimate ’80s tribute by Mock Star.
Saturday opens with young talents from the Schaumburg School of Rock. The day continues with a mix of rock, bluegrass, and even Southern rock from Dixon Bandits as the headliner.
Sunday starts with a gospel choir, followed by rock ‘n roll and a blend of various musical styles to close the festival. There’s something for everyone!
This year’s food vendors are also exciting. New options like Da Pizza Company and Zhel’s Kitchen, which offers Filipino dishes, will join festival favorites. Other vendors include Cousins Maine Lobster and Johnny G’s Meat and Deli. Their diverse offerings reflect a growing trend in food festivals, catering to various tastes and dietary preferences.
Interestingly, food festivals across the U.S. have seen a surge in popularity, especially during summer months. According to recent surveys, over 70% of event attendees say they enjoy discovering new culinary experiences at these events.
Overall, the Taste of Roselle promises great food, vibrant music, and a sense of community—a perfect way to spend summer evenings with friends and family.
