Join the Coachella Valley Cares Initiative: Fundraising and Food Drive for LA Fire Victims on January 21st!

KESQ and the Gulf California Broadcast Company are teaming up with FIND Food Bank for an important initiative called “Coachella Valley Cares.” This fundraising and food drive aims to help those affected by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles.

The event will take place on Tuesday, January 21, in partnership with the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. Together, we hope to encourage the Coachella Valley community to lend a hand to our neighbors in need.

All donations will go to FIND Food Bank. They will then work with the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, part of Feeding America, to ensure aid reaches wildfire victims.

Monetary Donations

Your donations can make a real difference! You can contribute by:

  • Calling FIND at 760-775-3663 on January 21 between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians is generously matching donations up to $50,000, effectively doubling the impact of your contribution!

Food Donations

If you prefer to donate food, you can drop off non-perishable items at:

  • Gulf California Broadcasting studios: 31276 Dunham Way, Thousand Palms

Food collections will happen from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM on the event day.

Items Most Needed:

  • Peanut and other nut butters
  • Crackers
  • Trail mix
  • Fruit snacks
  • Energy bars
  • Pop-top tuna and chicken
  • Dried fruits like raisins
  • Bottled water (16-20 oz)

FIND Food Bank will ensure all food is delivered to the LA Regional Food Bank.

This “Coachella Valley Cares” drive is a chance for our community to come together in a time of need. By donating money or food, you can help provide vital support to those who are struggling due to the wildfires.
