On October 16, the Michigan Health Association (MHA) brought together over 90 professionals for a Healthcare Careers Conversation event. This gathering included human resources experts, clinical leaders, and education partners, all focused on ways to grow the healthcare workforce in Michigan.
The event showcased important findings from the Michigan Health Council. They shared research on the current healthcare landscape and discussed strategies for improving career pathways. The Michigan Department of Education also participated, offering insights into the Michigan Career Development Model. This model helps students maximize their financial aid and navigate their career options in healthcare.
Employers in Michigan should also note that the application window for the Going PRO Talent Fund is now open. This grant program supports businesses in training and developing their workforce. Applications are due by 5 p.m. ET on October 30.
