Next month, get ready for some poker fun at Resorts World, Las Vegas! The Cardplayer Lifestyle’s Mixed Game Festival X is happening from February 16 to 20. This five-day event, sponsored by PokerGO Tour, focuses on mixed games and promises excitement for players of all levels.
The festival features two key tournaments: a $300 Omaha 8/Stud 8 event on February 17 and a $300 H.E.R.O.S. tournament on February 20. In addition, players can enjoy dealer’s choice cash games with limits starting as low as $4/8, and even higher stakes upon request.
Robbie Strazynski, the creator of the Festival and Cardplayer Lifestyle, has made this year special. He’s added two educational sessions for players who want to learn different forms of poker. Strazynski is also known for hosting the CardChat podcast.
“We always aim to offer something unique at each Mixed Game Festival,” Strazynski said. “This time, we’ll focus on teaching poker variants. If you’ve ever wanted to try something beyond Texas Hold’em, this is your chance to learn in a risk-free environment.”
On Women’s Wednesday, join instructors Lupe Soto and Jeanne David, a recent Women in Poker Hall of Fame inductee. They will teach and practice various Stud games, including Razz and seven-card Stud.
The festivities kick off with a pizza party at noon on February 16 in the poker room, followed by plenty of dealer’s choice cash games to enjoy.
Monday’s Omaha 8/Stud 8 event is expected to attract 50 to 70 players. Notable competitors include “Miami” John Cernuto, Mike Patrick, and Eric Rivkin.
In an exciting addition, this year Cardplayer Lifestyle partnered with the PokerGO Tour as the main sponsor. The PGT will host its Mixed Games series at PokerGO studios from February 24 to March 4. Two lucky players from the festival will receive seats to a $750 8-Game Mix satellite event during this series.

The seat giveaway will occur during the $300 H.E.R.O.S. tournament on February 20. Here’s how it works:
- At 2:15 p.m., just after registration ends, one player will be randomly selected to win a $750 PGT Mixed Games satellite seat. The second seat will be awarded through a Mystery Bounty draw.
- The first seat is given away through a “blind flip” at a randomly selected table.
- The Mystery Bounty begins after registration, offering a chance to win the second ticket.
