The Indian Embassy in Muscat, along with MY Bharat under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, organized the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 on October 1. This event took place in over 150 locations worldwide, celebrating fitness and service.
In Muscat, the turnout was impressive, with more than 150 participants from the Indian community and beyond. It was part of Seva Pakhwada, a period dedicated to service, and aimed to showcase India’s progress in infrastructure, healthcare, and sustainability under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
The event’s theme, “Run to Serve the Nation,” encouraged a 5 km community run. Organizers described it as a celebration of Seva Bhav, or the spirit of service, aligning with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for a developed India by 2047. Throughout, the emphasis was on self-reliance and environmental responsibility.
Participants also took part in a collective recitation of the Viksit Bharat and Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge, committing to India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation. An exciting part of the event was the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, where attendees planted trees, symbolizing India’s commitment to a greener future.
This gathering illustrated the significance of bringing communities together, reinforcing the idea that “the world is one family.” According to a survey by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, community events like these promote unity and encourage young people to engage in national initiatives.
The Viksit Bharat Run 2025 stands out as a major global outreach effort for India, spreading a message of resilience and responsibility. It was not just a fitness event; it was a call for collective action toward a brighter future for all.
