Wyoming Swim and Dive Set for Utah Dual Meet
GREEN RIVER, Wyo. – The University of Wyoming swim and dive team is gearing up for their annual outreach event. They will compete against Utah this Friday, October 24, at 2 p.m. MT. The location for this exciting dual meet is Green River High School in Green River, Wyoming.
This matchup features both men’s and women’s teams. While neither the Wyoming teams hold a ranking in swimming, it’s worth noting that the Utah women are currently ranked No. 9, and their combined teams are No. 13 in the inaugural Division-I Coaches Poll by the US Professional Diving Coaches Association (US PDCA).
Recent Performances
Last weekend, Wyoming showcased an impressive performance with 10 event victories and 18 top three finishes at a dual meet in Colorado Springs against teams like Air Force, Denver, and LSU. Sophomore Isaac Lee earned the MPSF Athlete of the Week title after dominating the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyle races. His teammate, Macey Hansen, mirrored his success by winning both her events and remaining undefeated in the 500- and 1,000-yard freestyles.
Freshman Raiden Harris also made headlines, winning the 50-yard freestyle by surpassing three LSU swimmers and contributing to two relay teams that finished in second place.
