PHILADELPHIA – The University of Pennsylvania’s cross country teams will compete at the Main Line Invitational this Friday at Haverford. Penn has participated in this event since 2015.
Who’s Competing
Men’s Team: Nathan Blades, Nicholas Carpenter, Esfan Daya, Sahil Dodda, Kofi Fordjour, Liam Going, Raghav Gopalakrishnan, George Keen, Chris Larnard, Shamus Larnard, Shane Murphy, Vinay Raman, and Joseph Ruiz.
Women’s Team: Kyra Compton, Kiera Duffy, Kate Hos, Courtney Kaiser, Maggie McCabe, Lily Murphy, Izzy Rodriguez, Aoife Shovlin, Quin Stovall, Anna Weirich, and Lindsay Yakaboski.
Latest Performance
In their first competition of the season on September 5, the women’s team won the New Jersey Jam in Princeton, earning 32 points. Lara Cota secured second place with a time of 14:07.4. The team had five runners finish in the top 15, leading to a victory over Princeton. Gabby Jones and Izzy Rodriguez followed closely, placing fourth and fifth, respectively.
The women are currently ranked fourth in the USTFCCCA Mid-Atlantic Region, showcasing their strength early in the season.
The men’s team also had a solid showing. Esfan Daya was the top finisher, coming in 14th at 17:33.8. The freshmen made their mark, with Shamus Larnard and Sahil Dodda finishing right after him.
