Get ready for a fun day at Palm Beach’s Via Amore! This Saturday, the Worth Avenue Pet Parade and Costume Contest will bring together furry friends of all kinds. From adorable dogs to unique pets like bearded dragons and bunnies, there’s sure to be a sight for everyone.

Organizer Sherry Frankel, from Sherry Frankel’s Melangerie, says this event is all about celebrating the joy pets bring into our lives. “Pets are not your whole life, but they make your life whole,” Frankel explains. “This is a great chance to celebrate that bond.”
Of course, most participants will be dogs strutting their stuff, but you’ll also meet cats, rabbits, and even a local celebrity—a service pig named Mona Lisa!
For the costume contest, pets will be split into three weight categories: small (up to 15 pounds), medium (16 to 35 pounds), and large (over 36 pounds). Within each category, there will be prizes for best in show, most unique costume, most creative outfit, and best obedience.
As the pets parade down the runway, they’ll be introduced by Frankel, acting as the emcee. It’s a fun way to showcase each pet’s costume while the crowd cheers them on.
Judges include local figures like Town Council Member Ted Cooney, Tiffany Schaefer from Woofgang Bakery, Jo Jo Harder of America’s Top Dog Model, and Catherine Louis from Bibi’s Boutique. They’ll have the tough job of picking the winners in each category.
Winners will take home fabulous prizes donated by local businesses, such as Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa, the Colony Hotel, and Tiffany & Co. Frankel assures us that “the prizes are fabulous, and the dogs always love this event.”
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and the contest kicks off at 10 a.m. If you’re interested in more details, you can reach Sherry Frankel at 561-655-1996 or via email at faith@worth-avenue.com.
