This Thursday, the Vacaville Museum is buzzing with excitement as it hosts its 35th Bunco Bash fundraiser. Tickets flew off the shelves, and the event is completely sold out.
“This is a much-loved event for our community,” says Clara Dawson, the museum’s executive director. “Everyone looks forward to it every year.”
Bunco, a fun game played with three dice, is popular among many locals. Clara shares, “Many of our ticket holders are part of other Bunco groups.” Yet, she believes there’s something truly special about playing at the museum. “The energy in the room is simply different. Even seasoned players feel it,” she adds.

The evening won’t just feature Bunco. Guests can also enjoy a raffle, dinner, and drinks. Exciting prizes include pizza night, spa days, and wine baskets.
As Clara leads her first Bunco Bash since taking the helm at the museum, she’s filled with anticipation. “I’ve been told that Bunco can get quite loud, so I’m ready for a lively party!” she laughs.
Being new in her role, Clara is eager to connect with new faces in the community. “I can’t wait to see everyone and talk about how they can get involved with the museum throughout the year,” she shares.
With a total of 56 Bunco players ready to have fun, it promises to be an unforgettable evening.
