Belly Laughs is a fresh comedy and food festival happening in Los Angeles on July 12-13. This event celebrates Asian American culture with a lineup of 30 comedians and over 20 restaurants from the city.

Some popular comedians set to perform include Hasan Minhaj, Kumail Nanjiani, and Margaret Cho. The restaurant offerings are just as exciting, featuring spots like Holy Basil and Guzzu Bento-Ya, all curated by Mama’s Night Market.

The festival will take place across three stages at L.A. Live, with support from sponsors like 99 Ranch Market and Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey. It promises a fun experience for audiences of all ages, and tickets are available on AXS.com.

Michelle K. Sugihara, the executive director of the Coalition of Asian Pacifics in Entertainment (CAPE), said, “The Belly Laughs festival is an exciting extension of our work championing people, stories, and culture. We’re thrilled to celebrate such talented comedians and restaurants.”

Jared Jue, founder of Mama’s Night Market, shared his enthusiasm: “This festival brings communities together with incredible flavors, comedians, and cultural moments.”
