Join the Fun: McHappy Day Brings Joy to North Okanagan Families and Youth!

It’s a joyful time for the North Okanagan Youth and Family Services Society (NOYFSS). The Vernon-based group focuses on programs for youth and families, and recently received a generous boost of $10,000 from local McDonald’s Restaurants during McHappy Day on May 8.

Every meal or drink purchased on this special day funds support for families with sick or injured children at Ronald McDonald House Charities across Canada, along with local children’s charities.

No stranger to community giving, local franchise owner Chris Erickson not only donated to NOYFSS but also contributed another $10,000 to Ronald McDonald House Charities. “It was our first time participating in McHappy Day, and we’re proud to be selected as the charity of choice,” said NOYFSS executive director Dean Francks. This money will significantly aid their community programs and services.
