Join the Jayhawks as They Defend Their Title at the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational – A Must-Watch Event for Kansas Fans!

The Kansas women’s golf team is gearing up for the Wisconsin Westbrook Invitational in Peoria, Arizona, on February 23-24, 2025. They’ll compete at the Westbrook Village Vistas Course, which is a 72-par, 6,248-yard track. This tournament features a strong field, including ranked teams like #35 UNLV and #25 Kansas, alongside other schools such as Penn State, Missouri, and Colorado State.

Last year, Kansas took home the title with an impressive score of -43, which marked their first team victory since 2017. Head coach Lindsay Kuhle expressed excitement about returning to defend their championship. She said, “We have really good feelings and memories of last year. We’re eager to play.”

The Jayhawks enter this tournament ranked 25th and recently finished sixth at the PDI Intercollegiate, where they set a new school record for a 54-hole team score with an impressive 843. Senior Lauren Clark shone at that event, earning her first collegiate win with a record-breaking individual score of 201 (-15).

“The team has been honing their skills, especially in wedges and short game. We feel ready,” Kuhle noted, highlighting their preparation leading up to this competition. The team will consist of seniors Clark, Lily Hirst, and Johanna Ebner, along with junior Amy DeKock and sophomore Lyla Louderbaugh. Freshman Ebba Nordstedt will also join them, competing as an individual.

The tournament format includes 54 holes, with 36 holes played on Sunday and the remaining 18 on Monday. Kansas will start at 9:30 a.m. CT in a shotgun format both days.

For those interested in following the action, live scoring will be available on the tournament scoreboard. Fans can also check out updates on the Kansas Women’s Golf social media accounts.
