The Dare Education Foundation is on the lookout for passionate individuals who care about education in Dare County. If you want to support our public schools through community engagement and funding, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Now is an exciting time to join our board as we launch new initiatives aimed at helping local educators and improving educational opportunities in Dare County Schools. We welcome community members eager to bring fresh ideas and viewpoints.

You don’t need specific experience to apply. However, if you have a background in education, leadership, event planning, finance, or nonprofit management, that would be a plus.

Board members play a key role in setting policies, planning strategically, and driving fundraising efforts. We meet every two months, with additional committee meetings scheduled every two months as well. You can serve up to two consecutive terms of three years.

Mary Robinson, our Board Chair, said, “We want community members who are passionate about strengthening our local schools to join us. Your fresh perspectives can help us make a real difference.”
