The California Department of Food and Agriculture is on the lookout for passionate individuals to join the Cattle Health Task Force Advisory Board. This board is essential in shaping the future of the state’s cattle industry and ensuring animal health.

Currently, several positions are open because some members have reached their term limits. The board seeks:
- At least three active cattle producers or representatives from livestock associations
- Three professionals from academia or extension services focused on cattle health
- Three licensed veterinarians experienced in beef or dairy cattle
Moreover, there are up to five additional seats available from any of these categories.
While these positions are unpaid, they cover travel and per diem expenses. Appointments last for 24 months, and applications are due by January 20, 2026.
