The Portage Youth Commission is running a Food Drive to help people in need by supporting the local food bank. This initiative runs until December 12, making it a great time to lend a hand.
You can drop off nonperishable food items in the lobby of Portage City Hall. They are open on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, except for holidays.
Food insecurity is a significant issue impacting many families. According to Feeding America, over 38 million people in the U.S. struggled with hunger in 2021. Local efforts like this food drive can make a real difference.
Many people are participating in the drive, sharing their donations and support on social media. It’s heartening to see the community come together for such an important cause. Each contribution counts, no matter how small.

Let’s all do our part to help those in need this season!
