Join the St. Alban’s Drive-Thru Food Drive on September 20 – Help Your Community!

St. Alban’s Episcopal Church in Edmonds is hosting a drive-thru food drive on Saturday, September 20, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s a simple way for the community to help those in need.

Every donation will go directly to the Edmonds Food Bank and other local charities. With food prices rising, these contributions are vital for families facing hunger.

Here are some items you can donate: non-perishable foods like soups, canned meat, peanut butter, and pasta. Diapers and infant formula are also very much needed. If easier, cash donations are welcome too. Just make sure to note “Food Drive” if you’re writing a check to St. Alban’s.

Church members will be ready to accept your donations at 21405 82nd Pl. W., close to the Edmonds Five Corners intersection. You can find St. Alban’s by looking for signs on 84th Avenue West and 212th Street Southwest.

As hunger issues grow, community efforts like this become increasingly crucial. According to Feeding America, about 35 million people in the U.S. faced food insecurity in 2021. Local initiatives help bridge that gap.

Engagement from the community is heartening. Social media trends show many people sharing their donation experiences, creating a ripple effect of support. Together, we can make a difference.

For more info, you can call the church at 425-778-0371 or check out Feeding America’s recent reports for a broader view on food insecurity trends.
