Join the Viksit Bharat Run 2025: Indian Diaspora Unites Across 100+ Nations – Discover the Impact on Global Communities!

The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports (MYAS) and the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) of India joined forces to host the Viksit Bharat Run 2025 on Sunday. This significant event took place in 100 countries as part of the ongoing Seva Pakhwada, aimed at promoting community spirit and national pride.

Described as the first global edition, the event’s theme was “Run to Serve the Nation.” Participants engaged in 3–5 km community runs at famous spots worldwide. Cities like Bangkok, Beijing, and Tokyo, along with places like Brisbane and Nairobi, saw enthusiastic crowds coming together.

The run united Indians living abroad with local communities, professionals, and students. Together, they reaffirmed their commitment to achieving a developed India by 2047, an ambitious goal set by the government.

Participants also took the Viksit Bharat Pledge and the Aatmanirbhar Bharat Pledge, showcasing their dedication to India’s progress. To emphasize environmental responsibility, they joined the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, which encourages tree planting and sustainability efforts.

A recent survey indicated that 68% of young Indians abroad feel a strong connection to their heritage, and events like this reinforce that bond. The Viksit Bharat Run provided not just a run but a platform for cultural exchange and social engagement. Participants interacted through the MY Bharat portal, which offers volunteer opportunities and youth initiatives.

Indian Missions collaborated with local organizations to make the event successful, ensuring that the spirit of community service and connectivity transcended borders. This initiative highlights how collective action can lead to meaningful change, fostering a sense of belonging and responsibility among the Indian diaspora.

Such global events emphasize the importance of unity in diversity, a hallmark of Indian culture, while showcasing the commitment of Indians worldwide to contribute positively to society.
