Together We Achieve has kicked off registration for its Holiday Food Box program, aiming to provide complete meals for families in Cedar Rapids, Linn County, and surrounding areas. This initiative is crucial as it helps ensure that no family goes without a festive meal during the holiday season.
From November 17 to 30, families can sign up to receive one of the 750 meal boxes available in December. Once registered, families can easily pick up their boxes at an assigned location, simplifying the process for everyone involved.
This year, Together We Achieve is working closely with the Southeast Linn Community Center. This partnership makes the registration process smoother and helps avoid duplicate sign-ups, reducing wait times for families to collect their meals.
As the need grows, the organization is reaching out for donations. Just $25 can provide a festive meal for a family, while $1,000 can support 40 families, with donors being recognized as “Holiday Heroes.”
To register, families need to share their address and the number of adults and children in their home. After registration, they will receive a confirmation detailing their pickup location, date, and time. Proxy pickups and accommodations are also offered to make it accessible for all.
